It
is December 2005. I just tucked my little Tiki (16 Year
old Chihuahua) in bed for the night. Pretty good for a dead
Chihuahua. At least according to the three different veterinarians.
Our story begins one Friday evening in June of 2006. Tiki
began coughing uncontrollably that Friday evening. It was
strange because she didn’t have any other symptoms.
She continued all night. Saturday morning we took Tiki to
the Doctor and to my surprise the Doctor said Tiki was in
congestive heart failure (CHF) and had fluid in her lungs.

She began coughing several weeks after coming to our home
and the vet said she had a very serious heart murmur...
There was no hope for her to be
cured and I could not bear the thought of having to take
her in...By Wednesday she could not walk, could
not stand up by herself and wouldn’t lift her head
from the pillow. She had a couple of wetting accidents from

Last
